The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
In terms of population, China takes the first place with 1.4 billion, India comes second with 1.38 billion, while the USA ranks third with 0.35 billion.
China takes the first place=China ranks first=China comes first.
China has the largest population among all the countries in the world with 1.4 billion. India closely follows behind/takes the second placewith 1.38 billion, which is about four times as large as that of the USA (0.35 billion)—the third one.
With regard to population, China takes the first place among all the countries in the world with 1.4 billion, which is closely followed behind by that of India(1.38 billion). Third comes the USA with 0.35 billion.
1.A is/has the largest/smallest/longest…/ A is much larger than(that of) others among…
Eg: China has the largest population in the world with 1.4 billion.
The population of China is larger than that of other countries in the world with 1.4 billion.
2.A takes the first place/comes first/ranks first, with ….排第几
In terms of population, China takes the first place/ranks No.1/ comes first among all the countries in the world with 1.4 billion.
3.A outweighs/outnumbers/outtakes/surpasses/beats/leadsthe others超过
With regard to population, China outnumbers/leads/surpasses all the other countries in the World.
B takes the second place/spot
B follows behind/which is followed by with
B has the second largest/highest…
B is close/far second with just+数字
Eg: India takes the second place/India closely follows behind/India has the second largest population in the world, with 1.38 million.
Third comes C with only +数字
或者:C is close/far behind with +数字
或者:C takes third spot/place with +数字
Following Bcomes Cwith +数字
从。。。 。。而言
1.In terms of ..
2.As far as … is concerned,
3.With regard to…
4. When it comes to…
There is no big difference in sth between A and B/among A, B and C.
Eg: There is no big difference in the population between China and India.
二)A, B and C have/share the similar figures in this aspect.
China and India share very similar figures in the population.
The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
首段改写题目give information about 我们可以改写为provides some data about, underground railway 我们可以改写为subway,并且把具体6个城市描述清楚。
The table provides some data about the subway systems in six different cities of the world, including London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles.
In terms of opening time(从开发时间进行比较排序),London has the oldest subway system (第一名最高级)among the six cities, which was opened in 1863. The underground of Paris follows behind, and it was opened 37 years later (第二名follow behind+比较级)in 1900. Tokyo, Washington DC and Kyoto opened their subway system in 1927,1976 and 1981 respectively(三个差别不大,可以合在一起略写). The subway of Los Angles(2001) isnewer than the others(比较级排最后).
With regard to length(从长度进行比较和排序), the subway of London takes the first place again/comes first again/ranks first again(排第一),with 394 km, which is twice as long as that of Paris–the second one(定语从句+比较级+同位语). There is no big difference/gap in that of Tokyo and Washington DC(差别不大), with 155km and 126 km separately./ The subway of Tokyo and Washington DC share/have the similar figures in this respect/aspect, with 155 and 126 km respectively. The subway of Kyoto is the shortest one, with 11km, whose distanceis 17 kmshorter than that of Los Angles.(28km)最高级描述最后一名+比较级+定语从句
As far as passengers per year are concerned, the underground of Tokyo outnumbers/leadsthe others(超过表排第一), with 1927 million, which is far followed behind by that of Paris(1191 million) and London(775 million)前三个一组写. The subway of Washington DC ranks fourth, with 144 million, which is about three times as large as that of Kyoto(45 million) and Los Angles(50 million).
The table provides some data about the subway systems in six different cities of the world, including London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles.
In terms of opening time, London has the oldest subway system among the six cities, which was opened in 1863. The underground of Paris follows behind, and it was opened 37 years later in 1900. Tokyo, Washington DC and Kyoto opened their subway system in 1927,1976 and 1981 respectively. The subway of Los Angles(2001) is newer than the others.
With regard to length, the subway of London takes the first place again/comes first again/ranks first again, with 394 km, which is twice as long as that of Paris–the second one. There is no big difference in that of Tokyo and Washington DC, with 155km and 126 km separately. The subway of Kyoto is the shortest one, with 11km, whose distance is 17 km shorter than that of Los Angles.(28km)
As far as passengers per year are concerned, the underground of Tokyo outnumbers/leads the others, with 1927 million, which is far followed behind by that of Paris(1191 million) and London(775 million). The subway of Washington DC ranks fourth, with 144 million, which is about three times as large as that of Kyoto(45 million) and Los Angles(50 million)。
To sum up, London has the oldest and longest subway system among the 6 cities, but it is the underground of Tokyo that receives the largest number of passengers per year.
